Celebrate Mother’s Day and Support Jobs For Youth
CHICAGO, IL.
(May 1, 2008) – Honor your Mother this Mother’s Day
by making a contribution to Jobs For Youth (JFY). Giving
a gift on behalf of your Mother would make a great difference
in the life of a less fortunate Mother.
With your help, we can continue
to make a difference in the life of a growing family. At
Jobs For Youth, our client base consists of men and women
between the ages of 17-24 from low income families. The
women we work with, most of them Mothers, were destined
for a life of public assistance, but now have a brighter
future for themselves and their families. This year alone,
JFY has helped 145 Mothers gain a brighter outlook for themselves.
We have heard many heart-wrenching
stories of Mothers and their children with nowhere to go,
no food to eat and no place to sleep other than on the floor
of a friend’s home. For many, because of their due diligence
in completing the JFY program, they are now able to provide
a stable life for their children by often being the first
wage earner in their immediate family.
Just as the celebration of Mother’s
Day was inspired by the women’s movement to improve the
environment and community conditions for Mothers facing
hard times, JFY embraces each student with the knowledge
to move towards self-sufficiency and the goal of becoming
a contributing member of society. We must do all we can
to put this vital information within reach of those who
have the drive and the commitment to seek it.
| There are a variety of methods in which
your dollars can help: |

Please consider giving a gift
to see how your donation can make a difference in helping
low income Mothers reach their greatest potential and create
a lasting family structure. Remember by donating you are

honor of the special women in your life.
