Meet
the Jobs For Youth Alumni Club Advisory Board!

Theresa
Clay, C'97, works as a
supervisor at TCF Bank. She received her Associates Degree in
Computer Information Systems from Northwestern Business College.
Upon graduation from Jobs For Youth, she went on to work for
Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal as a Facsimile Clerk. She
is being honored as JFY's 2001 Workplace Achiever. |
Starr
Sauseda, C'00, is a graduate of the GED and workshop programs
at JFY. She plans to attend the University of Illinois at
Chicago this spring to study Psychology, and currently juggles
being a mother of a newborn, and pursuing a job to help finance
her education.

Johnny
Pitts, C'00, works full time at Malcom S. Gerald. Johnny will
be starting school at Truman in December studying Cosmetology.
He has a heart for reaching out to and mentoring young men
and women who have "backgrounds" and is planning
an independent survey of Chicago employers and their policies
related to hiring convicted felons. He is being honored as
JFY's 2001 Workplace Achiever.

Candace
Sydnor, C'99, is a graduate of the Jobs for Youth workshop
program and works as a Submittal Assistant for OWP&P Architects.
She is particularly interested in mentoring youth on appropriate
business etiquette and office attire. Candace volunteers her
architectural abilities in her spare time, and she hopes to
continue on her career path at the firm and grow in her position
there.

Juanita
Henry, C'01, is a recent graduate from JFY's GED and workshop
programs. She plans to attend Columbia College and study vocal
performance and music business. While at JFY, she was actively
involved with a drama group that portrayed the realities of
teen violence, and enjoys mentoring and encouraging young
people.

Paulette
Young, C'85, works as an Accounting Assistant with Amalgamated
Bank. She obtained her first job through Jobs For Youth as
an Input Operator with Northern Trust and stayed with that
company for over 12 years! She currently is pursuing her Bachelors
Degree in Accounting and Finance and hopes to one day run
her own business providing financial services.

Almena
Knighten-El, C'00, currently works with JFY as a Job Developer.
She graduated from JFY's GED and workshop programs last year
and since has enrolled at Robert Morris College where she
is studying for a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and maintains
a 4.0 grade point average!
|
Joy
Anele, C'98, is currently completing her Applied Science degree
at Harold Washington in Dentistry. She plans to attend the
University of Illinois at either Chicago or Urbana next fall
to continue her program. She works part time at Sears in Customer
Service and when she's not working or studying you'll probably
find her indulging in her passion, which is singing.
