Before
being sent on job interviews by our Employer Services Representatives,
all the young people must graduate from our pre-employment
program. This training covers all aspects of how to get
and keep a job, including resumes, cover letters, job application
writing, interviewing skills, goal planning and continuing
education.
Before
we created the Client Closet, however, there was one thing
we could not do to help a young man or woman prepare for the
job search. This was to make sure every young person had clothing
appropriate for job interviews. Many of our clients lack elements
of basic business attire and do not have the money to buy
them.
Thanks
to our volunteers and friends, our Client Closet has grown
from a tiny collection of emergency items into a small store
of good quality used business clothing. With more than 1100
young people going through our program each year, it is not
possible to help everyone who has a need. But we are at least
able to assist in the cases of greatest need.

request that you please make sure that your donations consist only of
interview-appropriate business attire. Thank you very much!
As
Jobs For Youth does not have facilities for laundering or
repairing clothing that is soiled, wrinkled or damaged, we
